About myself and my program:
Hi everyone! So glad you visited my website. The fact that you are here, means that you are interested in a educational program for your child. Let me start by giving you some of my background information, and my qualifications. My name is Wendy Vaillancourt and I am the owner/operator of Cuddlebears Preschool Pals. I have been a licensed daycare provider for over 16 years. I have my CDA (Child Development Associates Credential) and I am CPR, First Aid, and MAT certified. I am a member of NAEYC and attend numerous trainings each year to keep my state certification. My facility is open from 7am-5pm Monday through Friday. We follow a schedule daily, that encourages our children to get involved and learn through play. We also schedule special days and events such as Pajama Day, Dress Like A Seuss Character, Reverse Trick or Treating, Breakfast with Santa etc... While preschool is not a state requirement, early education sets the stage for lifelong learning. I will be using the Mother Goose Time Preschool Program, along with my own ideas, to enhance the program and tailor it to the students interests and needs. I have been teaching with this program for several years and the hands on activities and monthly themes, catch the childrens attention, which aids in the learning process. It meets the standards that are similar to the Universal Pre K program taught in the school systems. It is designed for children 2-4 years old. Your child will be introduced to a wide variety of hands on and developmentally appropriate activities, that will stimulate their minds, foster their curiosity, and challenge them academically. These will be theme based and will prepare them to enter their next journey toward kindergarten. Small class size helps allow extra time to be spent on areas that children struggle with. Since I do NOT transport my children, we do occasionally invite special guests to visit, such as Firemen, Puppet Storytellers, Snake/Reptile Shows etc.... This is all included in the weekly rate:)
Location and Preschool Area:
Cuddlebears Preschool Pals is located at 827 Hook Rd in Farmington.
We have a two car garage, converted into a preschool classroom, and two additional rooms
attached that serve as our dramatic play center and our building block/imagination station center.
Our dramatic play area changes according to the themes being taught. It has been a Doctor's Office, Restaraunt, Home Living Area, Space Station, Santa's Workshop, Optomatrist Office etc....... This allows children to use their social skills, broaden their imaginations, role play real life situations and help increase their expressive language.
Our block/imagination station area is filled with legos, cardboard building blocks, lincoln logs, marble mazes, a ball pit, train table, tons of cars and trucks and a doll house. This is another favorite area for children. As they build, they are learning to share, cooperate, use imaginations, socialize, problem solve and much more. These are all early learning skills that are needed to succeed in the future.
Our large outdoor area allows for children to use their gross motor skills and strengthen muscles. We use this area for recess and to play games that get our hearts pumping. I also include a Stretch and Grow Program, with Coach Cyndi, which focuses on "Happy Heart" and uses stories, games and activities to get children moving more.
